This was painted in 1963 and it depicts Sherbourne Street in Port Hope Ontario where I lived while growing up.  It was painted for the May 1st anniversary of Mary and Carl Wendland and depicts their house on the right. On the left at that time was all forest, that has since been sold off and is now covered with houses.

I call the painting 'Dad and Carl' because in the foreground is my Father who died in 1965. Carl is a little further up the street, both raking leaves.
