This is on the north shore of Lake Ontario and I had a friend model for it. She didn't have a coat so I lent her mine for the work. The wind was blowing and it was cool and forbidding. I thought the work would have more impact if I painted her semi-transparent.
Underpainting is black and I worked wet on wet.
